Alegria Sock Yarn

New in is Alegria,  a sock yarn from Manos del Uruguay.  It is hand painted and made from a mixture of wool with polyamide for strength.  It comes in 100g (420m) hanks in a range of colours.  There is also a pattern book for the yarn, with designs for socks and accessories.

Making Up and Finishing Class

One our most popular classes is Making Up and Finishing, where we look at techniques for finishing off projects successfully.  A range of techniques are covered, including joining seams, mattress stitch and picking up stitches for necklines.  Our next class takes place on Thursday 27th June from 6.30-8pm.  We have a couple of places still available so get in touch (020 7738 7668, mail@sharpworks.co.uk) if you'd like to come along.  We have samples available at the class for techniques to be practiced on, and you're welcome to bring along any unfinished projects you would like advice on.
